The PTA are a fund raising committee, aiming to raise funds that benefit every single student in the school.  We listen to the school council to what they need.  We recognise that we cannot compete with events run in primary schools – we just don’t get the footfall to events, so we made a decision to run a few large events but are always looking at more innovative ways to raise funds without it taking up people’s time.  If you can help we would love to hear from you. 

How we help the school

In 2016/17 the PTA donated


  • £720 to the library for year 7 books

  • £1,000 towards the music department for instruments

  • £3,000 towards the science department for equipment

  • £5,000 towards canteen improvements requested by our students

  • £13,500 towards outdoor covered seating requested by our students – more will be raised if needed

This year we are raising funds primarily for staging and the new fitness centre, however we are in discussions with the school and the student council to identify new projects that benefit as many students as possible
